For the Immel and Grier families of Dover, three generations rely on Union Hospital for quality care, close to home.

Shaun and Jennifer Immel, who were born and raised here and recently returned to the area, say they are grateful for their experiences at Union Hospital. "They're on my speed dial," said Jennifer. "We've used the Emergency Department and FirstCare, radiology and labs. And both of my parents – John and Helen Grier – received amazing care when they were admitted as patients." In addition, the Immels' son, Zach, is a hospital volunteer and the whole family participates in the Union Hospital Run for Home Half-Marathon.

"Union Hospital makes me think 'community,' " said Shaun. "It is not somewhere that just treats illness; it actively promotes wellness in every age group. They're compassionate about the community and offer health screens and educational opportunities. Union Hospital encourages people to live a better life."

As a longtime member of the community, John Grier agrees. "It's nice to have a hospital here that coordinates with our local physicians," he said. "I don't have to drive out of town to receive quality care. Union Hospital brings quality care close to home."
