Union Hospital encourages visits from friends and family for the patient's well being. Visitation may need to be modified based on the current condition and status of the individual patient. Union Hospital fully complies with federal privacy laws and protects each patient’s right to privacy and confidentiality according to the law.
If the patient's room number is not already known, visitors should stop at the Information Desk in the Main Lobby. If listed in the Directory, the patient’s room number and telephone extension number will be provided to visitors who inquire about the patient by name. Condition reports are no longer available.
If the patient has OPTED OUT of the Directory, the hospital will not provide any information about that patient or even acknowledge the patient is in the hospital.
If a patient chooses to opt out of the hospital Directory it is the responsibility of the patient or their family to inform desired visitors of the room number and telephone extension.
To be connected to a patient room, call 330-343-3311 and ask for the patient by name. If that patient is listed in the hospital Directory, the call will be transferred to the patient's phone. If that patient has opted out of the Directory, and the caller does not already know the phone extension number, the call will not be connected.
If a patient chooses to opt out of the hospital Directory, it is the responsibility of the patient or family to inform desired callers of the patient's telephone extension number.
Weekdays until 4:00 p.m. visitors should park only in lots designated for Visitor Parking. After 4:00 p.m. and on weekends, visitors may park in any lot. Please observe the handicap parking restrictions.
Visitors are asked to enter the hospital through the Main Entrance. Services such as Patient Room Information and wheelchair transport are only available at the Main Entrance. The Main Entrance doors open at 5:30 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m. Use the Emergency Room entrance after hours.
