Whether you talk to the patients, physicians, or hospital employees, the new Boulevard South Addition at Union Hospital in Dover is generating some rave reviews
The three-story addition can accommodate up to 58 medical and surgical inpatients in 34 rooms on the second and third floors. The patient rooms opened in May following nearly two years of construction.
Panoramic windows bring beneficial natural light into the large rooms, according to Dr. Paul McFadden, a family practice physician in Dover. He especially likes the room furnishings both for patients and families.
?The new beds have greatly reduced bed sores and skin breakdown for patients?, McFadden says. ?And the rooms are equipped with comfortable reclining chairs for patients or family members who may be spending many hours in the room with the patient.?
