The temperature was anything but warm. And it certainly was anything but dry. But more than 500 people found the weather just fine for a run from New Philadelphia to Dover and back again. The Union Hospial Run for Home Half-Marathon was a huge success, perhaps in part, due to the cool, wet weather than many half-marathoners said was perfect for that long-distance event.

The course began at Tuscora Park in New Philadelphia, wound through the city streets to Dover and out to the Dover City Park and back to Tuscora Park. More than 300 runners did the entire 13.1 miles and 120 more participated as part of three-member relay teams.
Race results and many photos are posted on-line at the Run for Home web site http://www.geocities.com/runforhome131/
Union Hospital was the primary corporate sponsor of the Run for Home. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Habitat for Humanity of Tuscarawas County.
