Union Hospital is re-opening its Sugarcreek Laboratory Draw Station at a new location on Tuesday, January 27. That new location is in the office of Phillip Teague, M.D., 153 ½ N. Broadway in Sugarcreek. The Draw Station will be open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.
Carey Gardner, UH director of community relations, says the Draw Station provides convenient blood draw services for routinely ordered medical lab tests.
“Those living in and around Sugarcreek will welcome the return of the hospital’s Draw Station,” Gardner said. “Our Draw Station was closed for several months during the transition of physician office locations in Sugarcreek.”
When coming to the Draw Station, Gardner says patients should bring their physician order for lab work with them. He says the Draw Station does not do emergency blood draws or pre-employment blood testing services. Phlebotomy service is provided by employees of the Union Hospital Laboratory.
