If you or somebody you live with asks frequently for conversations to be repeated or needs the TV volume at a high level, there may be a hearing problem that should be checked.
The hearing professionals at the office of Ohio Head & Neck Surgeons located on the campus of Union Hospital will offer free hearing screenings the week of March 6-10.
Appointments are required for the free screenings, and space is still available. To make an appointment, call the Union Hospital Community Relations office at (330) 308-3599 or send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. The screenings will take place in the Ohio Head & Neck Surgeons office at 400 Medical Park Dr., Suite 103, on the hospital campus.
The program is co-sponsored by the UH Community Health & Wellness staff, and screenings are conducted by Laura Warner, a certified audiologist. Appointments take about 30 minutes and include a brief health history, exam to check ear canals and the hearing screening in the sound booth with earphones.
Warner will review the results with each person and make recommendations for any follow-up.
Information about Union Hospital and all of its services available to the community is available on the hospital website at www.unionhospital.org, and on the hospital’s pages on Facebook and Twitter (@Union_Hospital).
