Developed by the Stanford University and sponsored by the U.S. Administration on Aging, this interactive small group workshop helps participants learn how to deal with symptoms of diabetes; establish healthy eating patterns; develop regular exercise habits; and understand appropriate use of medication. Participants will gain confidence and new skills to better manage their diabetes. The program is designed for people with Diabetes or Pre-diabetes, as well as those caring for someone with diabetes. The 6 week program will start on May 17,2018 and conclude on June 21, 2018. Light refreshments will be provided. The program is FREE, but registration is required, as attendance is limited. Each participant who completes the course will receive a copy of the book, Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions, provided by a grant from the Moomaw Foundation.
