Meet the Staff
The staff of UH WorkWell is comprised of specially trained medical professionals including a Board-Certified occupational medicine physician. Our staff will work with your company and employees to adapt health promotion programs to meet both the industry and individual needs. Learn more about them below.
Kimberly Nathan, R.N.
Kim is a graduate of Ohio Valley Hospital School of Nursing. She began her career as a charge nurse and trauma program director for Conway Medical Center and Marion Regional Healthcare System, both in South Carolina. She most recently held the position of Nursing Supervisor at Union Hospital, prior to being named Director of WorkWell.
Kim recently finished her first 5K race and believes in making changes you can put into practice the rest of your life.
Occupational Health Services
Adult Nurse Practitioner
Jennifer began her career in medicine as a nursing assistant at Union Hospital in 1997. She enjoyed it so much she continued her training to become a registered nurse, working in surgery for nine years. She continued her education to become a nurse practitioner, and has worked as a primary care nurse practitioner for the past three years.
Jennifer recently rejoined the Union Hospital staff working both in Occupational Medicine Services and the Wound Center. She enjoys time with family, traveling, watching movies, bicycling and playing the piano.
Michelle Gooding, R.N., B.S.N.
Occupational Medicine Nurse/Nurse Educator
After graduating in 1992 with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Kent State University, Michelle began her nursing career on the Burn/Trauma Unit at Columbus Children’s Hospital. She has continued her nursing practice at Union Hospital on the ICU Step Down Unit, and as a home health nurse. Michelle has also worked as a clinical nurse and nurse educator with the Kollman Clinic. She is certified through the American Heart Association as a CPR instructor, a certified breath alcohol technician and holds a certification through the Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association (DATIA).
Michelle enjoys providing occupational nursing services onsite at local companies, as well as at the Union Hospital WorkWell facility. She teaches Sunday School for middle school students and is a youth leader for the teenagers at her church.
Malinda Hoopengarner, L.P.N.
Mindy graduated from Buckeye Career School of Nursing in 2005. She brings a variety of experience to WorkWell including wound care, rehabilitation, ambulatory outpatient care, and pain management. She will be providing services at our Workplace Wellness Satellite Center located at Lauren Manufacturing. Previously she worked as a customer service representative but always had a desire to become a nurse. Her customer service experience combined with her passion for nursing has allowed her to serve our community with a caring and positive attitude.
She is currently continuing her education to obtain a degree as a registered nurse and plans to become certified as an occupational health nurse as well. She looks forward to assisting employees with living a healthy lifestyle.
She resides in Dennison with her husband and their two children. She enjoys being the biggest fan for her kids at their sporting events and vacationing with family whenever possible.
Jo Ann Allen, N.C.M.A.
Jo Ann has been with Union Hospital since 1987, serving in various specialty departments over the years, with her primary area of focus in the Emergency Department. Jo Ann has been instrumental in building Union Hospital's occupational medicine program.
She has a tremendous amount of experience servicing local companies' health needs. Her certifications include medical assistant, breath alcohol technician, Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association (DATIA), psyche medics sample collections and phlebotomy.
Jo Ann has been married for 42 years and enjoys spending time with family, especially her children and grandchildren.
Case Manager, Occupational Medicine
Georgie has been involved in the medical profession for 34 years, serving the past 24 with Union Hospital in Medical Records, Patient Registration and currently WorkWell Occupational Medicine.
Georgie attended Kent State University, is a certified breath alcohol technician and is responsible for case management, coding and charges for the department. She loves cooking, boating and spending time with her family.
Susan C. Zwiebel, M.D.
Occupational Medicine Physician
Dr. Zwiebel graduated from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and served her residency at Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, Ohio. She is certified by The American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Zwiebel sees patients in the office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and works in the Firstcare Urgent Care Clinic on Fridays.
In her free time, Dr. Zwiebel enjoys spending time with her two children and her husband, Ben. She enjoys hiking, is an avid photographyer and is involved with her church.
Mandy Martin, C.M.A.
Mandy has worked six years as a medical assistant at a local physician's office prior to joining WorkWell, which equips her with many skills beneficial to the department. She is trained as a breath alcohol technician and as a certified professional collector.
Mandy enjoys working with many local companies using WorkWell services to help with their annual health profiles. She is an active animal advocate and volunteers at the local Humane Society.
Mary Marshall, R.N., B.S.N.
Mary has been a registered nurse for 27 years. She has worked in acute care, home care, geriatric care and community health. She is also a fitness instructor at Tuscarawas County YMCA. Mary is delighted to combine her nursing education and fitness knowledge in the area of workplace wellness, and has been doing so since the program began six years ago. She has received training from Wellcoaches of America to help her provide clients with a better experience.
Mary is passionate about helping others take control of their own health and wellness and is a strong advocate of yoga to benefit body, mind and spirit, and continues to teach a fitness yoga class at the YMCA.
Brittany Cochenour, R.N., B.S.N.
Brittany is a graduate of Kent State University Tuscarawas and Malone University. She became a member of the UH WorkWell department early in her nursing career, bringing knowledge from her work in Step Down and Pediatric units with her, and has been trained by Wellcoaches of America.
Brittany believes that people can truly make a difference in their health, preventing chronic and acute illness by taking control of their eating habits, weight, exercise and stress levels. She enjoys running, kayaking and biking.
Lead Phlebotomist/Clerical Assistant
Tricia is a certified phlebotomist and is instrumental as the community liaison between local businesses and UH employees. She has obtained her certification as a breath alcohol technician and a certified professional collector through the Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association. (DATIA)
Tricia has been with WorkWell since its beginning and says being a part of the wellness team has been her most fulfilling job. She loves spending time camping and boating with her family and friends. She is an avid walker, loves Zumba and her favorite snack is fresh fruit and almonds.
Employee Health Services
Shannon Robinson, B.C.J., N.C.M.A.
Shannon is a Nationally Certified Medical Assistant, and holds an associates degree in arts and science from Kent State Tuscarawas and a bachelor's degree from Ohio University Eastern. Prior to becoming the N.C.M.A. for WorkWell, Shannon worked with the Union Hospital laboratory as a phlebotomist.
Since joining WorkWell, Shannon has obtained her certification as a breath alcohol technician and a certified professional collector through the Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association (DATIA). She has also completed OSHA training on bloodborne pathogens.
Tracey Ward R.N., B.S.N.
After obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1993 from Kent State University, Tracey began her nursing career at Akron General Medical Center as a staff nurse. She has been employed at Union Hospital for over 13 years and has been an employee health nurse for three years.
During her employment at Union Hospital Tracey has obtained her training by Wellcoaches of America. She feels it is important to use healthy habits as a young adult so that the positive behavior will last a lifetime.
Tracey enjoys going for walks and being outdoors with her family.
