The Non-Invasive Vascular Center
At Union Hospital’s Non-Invasive Vascular Center, we’re committed to world-class patient care and service. We’ve received accreditation by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories, which means our Vascular Center’s lab meets the highest standards of quality patient care and monitoring.
Our staff includes board-certified physicians and five full-time vascular technologists. All of our vascular technologists hold at least a bachelor's degree and have been trained in vascular diagnostics by on-staff registered vascular technicians and the vascular surgeons at Union Hospital. Every patient test is reviewed and interpreted by one of the physicians. Continuing education and a commitment to state-of-the-art technology allows for a knowledgeable and well-trained staff.
Leading Edge Technology
Digital imaging management has been added in the UH Vascular Center. Computers allow the immediate transfer of diagnostic images at the time of the patient’s exam, enabling physicians to review the images and data instantaneously. Along with immediate access to the patient’s medical records, this new technology has improved the accuracy and timeliness of interpretation and reporting of test results.
The Vascular Center has added the most up-to-date ultrasound imaging equipment from Philips Medical and Zonare Ultrasound. Because of our commitment to staff education and quality care, medical technology companies like Zonare Ultrasound and MedStreaming Systems have the UH Vascular Center as a Clinical Site of Excellence and a test site for future software and hardware development.Recent Accomplishments
The staff of the UH Vascular Center has been published internationally in the Journal of Vascular Ultrasound for our efforts in the diagnosis of venous disease.
