The training includes information on self-care and making lifestyle changes to help you learn to successfully manage your diabetes. Topics include the disease process, monitoring and using blood glucose levels, psychosocial adjustment, nutrition management, insulin training, medications and importance of physical activity with diabetes. This program is accredited by the American Diabetes Association and classes are taught by Certified Diabetes Educators.
