Union Hospital FirstCare offers immediate medical services for patients who do not require the resources of the Emergency Department or at the times their family doctor is not available. Patients are seen on a walk-in basis. No appointment is needed. Through the FirstCare Convenient Care Center, Union Hospital has expanded local options for medical care and is helping our patients maintain continuity of care through our local healthcare system.
Terri Shilling, D.O., a member of the Union Hospital medical staff, is the full-time medical director of FirstCare. Additional physician services are provided by community-based members of the Union Hospital Department of Family Medicine. Laboratory testing and x-ray services are also offered to FirstCare patients.
As a department of Union Hospital, FirstCare provides for a quick and accurate flow of patient medical information to the patient's family physician and Union Hospital. FirstCare accepts AultCare, Medicare, Medicaid, and any insurance that the hospital accepts.
Union Hospital FirstCare is located on Oxford Ave. in Dover, just off South Wooster Avenue behind the Tuscarawas Ambulatory Surgery Center and the CVS Pharmacy. Regular hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends. FirstCare is closed on holidays.
