The Union Hospital Blood program is affiliated with the Aultman Blood Center and collects most of the blood needed by patients at the hospital. We rely on caring family members, friends, and neighbors to provide a safe and local blood supply for our patients. Donating blood is a quick and rewarding way to help up to three patients at Union Hospital. Please do what you can to help. Donate blood!
Anyone 17 years or older (16 with parental consent), weighing 110 pounds or more, and in general good health can donate blood. There is a consistent need for ALL types of blood.
Our donor room is open for walk-in donations Tuesday - Thursday, 9 am to 6 pm, and Friday 9 am to 4:30 pm. Closed weekends and Monday. You may also call to schedule an appointment: (330) 343-3311 ext. 2294. The donor room is located on the ground floor of the hospital. From the Main Lobby, take the elevator to the ground floor, then follow the red arrows near the floor.
In addition, the Bloodmobile regularly travels throughout the area. Check our Health & Wellness Events Calendar for scheduled stops at a location near you.
