Information for Patients
Endoscopy Patients
Your doctor will provide you with all the instructions you will need to prepare for your endoscopy test and inform you how to prepare for going home after the test. If you have any questions about the endoscopy test you are to have, please call your doctor.
Pre-Operative Testing
Some patients may need to have tests done before they have outpatient surgery. There is no additional charge to you or your insurance company for this service. Testing is done at the Pre-Op Clinic, located on the ground floor of 400 Medical Park Dr. in Dover on the Union Hospital campus.
Your surgeon’s office will give you information about any pre-operative tests you may need. A member of the hospital’s Pre-Op Clinic staff will call you to schedule your visit. You may download information about the Pre-Op testing process here.
Instructions for Surgical Patients
At your Pre-Op Clinic visit for testing, our staff will also discuss how you should prepare for surgery, what to expect, things to do and not do the morning of surgery, how to plan for your discharge and recovery at home. You may download these instructions here.
